The rules for the rest of the season is "CLAIM IT". If it has too much work done to it and it wins; Just claim it. for 150.00 That is what we plan on doing if we get to race the darn thing. Other than that do what you wish to it. That is the way it was explained to me. I believe next season there will be engine rules with no claim. You certainly can do that, but I hope that you don't. The rules for the Sr. Champ Crate class are pretty clear. Change the pipe and breather if you want. You'll also have to tinker with the jet a little once you change all of that. It's pretty clear when someone has done something other than that to one of these motors. The champ class wouldn't have grown as large as it has if people were cheating. It's only happened a couple of times that I know of, and it was very obvious. I'm sure the flat karts will catch on just as well as long as people stick to the rules. I know if I had one I'd be racing it with you guys this weekend. -Trey Fox

The Flat kart is different remove the tank Pulse from the crank case? It make a difference we have both and it has made a noticeable difference the pulse from the Crank. Its not waiting on fuel. ;D You have to have the tank & parts if it is claimed. The way I understand what Pete posted on Bobs.

Randy told me that it's legal in the champs also, but nobody has made the switch yet.

Anyone who spends more than 150.00 on these engines are not using good judgement.
I will be glad when the claim rule is changed. The people who do will just get claimed.
I know our motor will not be a beast this weekend but we need to run it before the indoor race.

TFOX,
That is what I thought also. Truth is there are no rules, just claims.

I guess you're right. They are more like suggestions than rules. You're only disqualified if someone claims your motor and you don't give it up, so essentially there are no rules. I'm glad that they're gonna tech them next year.

I don't know I think these things will get expensive before long when the tech is put up then some of the racers are going to put alot of moneys in their machine work so on just like the flat head its not the parts it the machine work/builders that cost so much the claimer has worked so far just some of the racers won't put up the cash to purchase its not fun claiming someones motor but it is a the rule of the class and it is expected if you win time after time . I know what we do to ours and I'm not putting any more money in it then 10 bucks it is suppose to be for fun sometimes We all lose that get caught up in the competition of it all. I hope the flat kart class take off I do like the clone with-out the tank looks alot racer than the old flat. ;D

I agree that the claimer rule has worked pretty well so far. The only problem that I have is that people go around accusing others of cheating instead of putting up money for their motors. But I guess they'll do the same instead of putting up the money for tech.
